Meet The Directors

Murray joined Blackadders after 33 years with the Bank of Scotland and most recently HBOS. He fulfilled a number of senior positions within the bank ultimately at Regional Director level. His range of experience and expertise covered Business, Corporate & Retail Banking

Murray's role within Blackadders as Chief Executive Officer is to assist the business develop working practices and systems which will ensure the firm is fully equipped to meet the high standards of service that its large client base rightly expects and demands.

Murray is a fellow of the Institute of Bankers in Scotland.

Keith graduated with BA (Hons) in 1982. He has been in financial services providing independent financial advice since 1985 and joined Blackadders in 1991. He has been instrumental in developing Blackadders Wealth Management unit into the position of being one of the leading solicitor run IFA practices in Scotland.

He specialises in Investments, Inheritance Tax planning, Trusts and holistic financial planning. Keith is quoted regularly in the national and specialist trades press on a wide range of topical issues as well as leading the local IFA Promotion Press club for the Dundee area. He is also a tutor on the Conduct of Investment Business rules for SOLAS as well as being an external examiner in financial services for the University of Dundee.

Nicola is responsible for the creation and development of the Firm's marketing strategy and for the continuing development of the Blackadders brand including internal and external communications.

She leads the Marketing department on various ongoing projects as well as managing relationships with a number of support agencies. She and her team work closely with all practice areas across the firm. Nicola has 16 years experience in marketing across a broad range of industry sectors.

Morton is Director of Blackadders Property Services and as such possesses a wealth of knowledge and expertise. He has over 20 years of experience in the areas of residential property and new home sales.

He was educated in Dundee and is a member of the National Association of Estate Agents. Morton is regularly contacted by local and national press for his opinion on the current housing market in Tayside.

Martin has over 20 years of experience in Estate Agency and is a fellow of the National Association of Estate Agents. He is chairman of the Scottish NAEA and is also council representative for Scotland, representing the views of Scottish members to the UK council. Martin sits on the Property Information Advisory Committee which puts him in a good position to appraise any new property legislation from the Scottish Executive

Martin's role in Blackadders is to help develop the property sales side with specific responsibility for new home sales and dealing with developer clients, both on consultancy pre purchase and unit sales.

Moira was born and educated in Dundee. She started work with Reid Johnston Bell & Henderson (now Blackadders) in March 1965 and has spent 37 years of her working life with the same firm.

She took on further education and gained her SOLAS (Society of Law Accountants in Scotland) Diploma in 1987, STEPS (Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners) Diploma in 1991, and became an Executry Practitioner through the Law Society in 2007. Moira is the National President for SOLAS and is a Member of the Joint Board and General Council.

Moira became a Private Client Manager in 1999 and a Director of Executry Services in July 2008. She is responsible for 16 fee earners including first and second year trainees and 3 Solicitors who are all involved in executries.

Graham joined the firm as IT Director in June 2005. His main focus is in IT governance and business process. Graham is a member of the Information Systems Audit and Control Association (ISACA) and has recently passed the Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA) examination.

Graham has previously worked for large multi-national blue chip organisations and a startup company that include Motorola, Stoneridge Electronics and VIS iTV. Graham's management skills, IT controls and technical expertise have taken him to the Far East, North America and Europe and are now being applied to Blackadders.

David was born and educated in Dundee. He trained as a Chartered Accountant with local firm Bird Simpson & Co before joining Thomson McLintock CA as an Audit Manager in 1977.

In 1985 David moved to Blackadders, becoming Partnership Secretary in 1988, and Director of Trust and Taxation Services in 2008.

Reporting to the firm's partners David now has overall managerial responsibility for the firm's Trust and Personal Tax practice.
