It’s the 12th of December and the Christmas spirit really soots me. Take a look behind door number 12 of my Employment Law Advent Calen-deer to find out who or what is there to help employers stock-ing up on employment law hints and tips.
Who doesn’t dream of a White Christmas, but if our recent weather is anything to go by it’s more likely to be wet and windy, and there’s every chance that at some point (again) this winter employees will encounter issues, either weather or transport related, when getting to and from work.
Putting in place a clear policy that sets out an employer’s expectations e.g. when home working will be permitted, or whether leave will be paid, unpaid or holidays can be taken, will avoid unnecessary conflict.
Make sure you-elf a merry little Christmas and contact a member of the Blackadders Employment Team working in Aberdeen, Dundee, Edinburgh, Glasgow, Perth and across Scotland for help and advice.
