Blackadders has acquired the assets, goodwill and work-in-progress of the Morisons LLP Glasgow office.
The deal, which is for an undisclosed sum, will see the immediate transfer of 3 Morisons partners, Peter Duff, Gillian Brown and Lucy Gannon plus 30 staff to Blackadders. All files and documents will be transferred and stored at Blackadders in Glasgow. If you were a client of the Morisons' Edinburgh office, and your primary contact was Gillian Brown, arrangements are being made for all your files and documents to be stored at the Blackadders' Edinburgh office and you do not need to take any further action.
Morisons' Edinburgh business has been acquired by Thorntons. Some insolvency, asset recovery and litigation matters handled by Morisons in Glasgow will now be handled by Thorntons' Edinburgh office, and arrangements are being made for all documents to be delivered to Thorntons. You also do not need to take any further action and will be contacted by Thorntons.

You do not need to do anything at the moment. We will be sending letters out to all those clients who had work in progress with Morisons in Glasgow or with Morisons in Edinburgh where Gillian Brown is your primary contact. The letter will outline what will happen next. Some insolvency, asset recovery and litigation work undertaken by Morisons in Glasgow will transfer to Thorntons’ Edinburgh office and you will be contacted by Thorntons.
