Director, Rural Land & Business
Philip qualified in 2005 and he is a Director in our Rural Land and Business team. He specialises in land law and legal aspects of landed estate management, advising clients on a broad range of projects from water supplies to access rights.
He deals with the sale and acquisition of landed estates, forests and farms. He advises on salmon fishings and sporting rights and he is a member of the Agricultural Law Association (ALA). He is also pleased to receive instructions for the sale and acquisition of country houses.
Originally from Angus and based in our Edinburgh office, Philip is thoughtful and pro-active, combining legal ability with commercial pragmatism.
In his personal life, Philip enjoys fishing and he is also a member of Gifford Golf Club and the Haddington Cycling Club.
