Traditional steading which has been converted to an exceptionally high standard

“I think one of the things I love about the house is its humble beginnings, it originally started life as the neighbours cow shed and was developed into a beautiful steading which has been finished to an exceptionally high standard from the solid oak doors, to the luxury fitted bathrooms and kitchen.

“The bright and airy open plan living space, which blends together a relaxing lounge area with a versatile dining area and leads into a spacious fully integrated kitchen.
“I love the fact that the bedrooms are located at different ends of the house as well as on different levels from the living space, which is great for when you have visitors staying over, as they can have their very own peaceful private space.
“The house has a very calm and tranquil feel and the views are something I’ve never tired of.  Every day is unique, as the view constantly changes with the seasons, whether it be gorgeous green fields in summer, golden colours in autumn, blankets of white snow in winter and the newborn lambs in springtime.
“There are beautiful walks right on the doorstep with a variety of wildlife from deer, foxes, birds of prey and badgers if you are lucky to spot one. The neighbours are friendly and sometimes they pop past for a visit.

The location
“Methlick has a lovely sense of community. There is always something on, whether it’s a game of cricket, the pop up shop at the kirk, pilates class for those looking for better posture or a lovely home cooked meal followed by a quiz at the local pub.  You could take part in the annual Methlick bike challenge or maybe a spot of afternoon tea at the ladies day held in the hall. Methlick definitely has a lot to offer for a small country village.
“Methlick is set in a very central location within Aberdeenshire. It is surrounded by several small towns, Ellon being only 15 minutes away, or maybe head to Inverurie which is only 20 minutes and offers well known high street shops, pubs and restaurants and a train station. There are also plenty of small local shops and cafes in Tarves, Pitmedden. Or if you prefer a bigger city, Aberdeen is within easy commuting distance, approximately 25 minutes to the outskirts.
“Discover more about Scotland’s heritage and visits one of the local National Trust Scotland castles or gardens which are located right on your doorstep.
“If your family dream has been to escape to the countryside, this is the perfect house, located in some of the most picturesque, postcard scenery imaginable.”
