FAQ's - Changes implemented by the RDR

Many companies or administrative platforms with whom you already hold investments or products will be writing to you separately with their new terms of business to explain how the new rules affect you.

No.

We will tell you if there are any changes to be made to your arrangements. You do need to be aware that, although these changes apply across the entire industry, the way they affect you may be different to how they affect another client.

We will continue to offer a bespoke independent portfolio management and financial planning service to our clients. If you would prefer discretionary portfolio management, where you have limited input as to how your money is managed, please let us know and we can look for a suitable solution for you. The different levels of service and costs available from Blackadders are outlined in our Terms of Business.

Please feel free to discuss matters either with your usual financial adviser within Blackadders. Alternatively our support staff will be able to assist you, providing you are not seeking any personal financial advice.

All of our Independent Financial Advisers and Investment Managers are qualified to the higher educational and professional standard required by the new rules.
